Another great new feature of Change by Us 2.0 allows you to upload videos and documents to your discussion stream or the discussion stream of another project page. So, if you made a video at your last bin build, created a flyer advertising your next green market, or found a really interesting clip online about aquaponics and want to share it with your project members, it’s a breeze. You just head over to your discussion section and either paste the link to the video if you found it online, or click the page icon next to the speech bubble icon and upload the file if it’s a document or video saved to your computer. It’s a great new way to let your team members know what you’ve been thinking about and keep the conversation going.
One of the most exciting new features on Change by Us 2.0 is the Needs tab. Now you can publicly list the things that your project needs in order to succeed, so whether you’re in the market for compost bins, shovels, or some particularly skilled volunteers, you can get specific about the supplies and resources that you need to push your project forward. It’s a great way to get more people involved with your project, and get even more done, faster.
The MillionTreesNYC 2012 Spring Tree Giveaways begin today, and we can’t wait to see how New Yorkers across the five boroughs will make their neighborhoods greener. There are only a few easy rules to remember, too – trees have to be planted on private property (not along sidewalks or streets) within the five boroughs, and must be properly maintained. There’s also a one tree per-household limit. The giveaways happen at different times and in different locations throughout the City, so take a look at the calendar here and see which event works best for you.
